SERGIO AGUERO claimed a huge £42,000 after winning a poker tournament while disguising himself to avoid being recognised.
The Manchester City legend, 35, is beginning to make a name for himself as a poker player, three years on from hanging up his boots.
Sergio Aguero was unrecognisable on the poker table
He took home a staggering £42,000 from the event
In 2023, he claimed an £8,000 prize pot as he flexed his card playing skills.
But he took home considerably more from his most recent event as he triumphed at the GGPoker tournament.
Aguero‘s victory earned him £42,000 – but perhaps even more impressive was the calibre of player he beat.
Among the others at the table was professional poker star Damian Salas – who is believed to have earned around £3million in his career.
Aguero beat Salas in a game of heads-up poker – a format consisting of just two players that face off against one another.
And even Salas may not have been aware he was at the table with a Man City icon.
That is because Aguero wore a hoodie and sunglasses to conceal his identity.
It made him almost completely unrecognisable to anyone in the room.

Aguero retired as a result of heart issues that arose during a match for Barcelona in 2021.
But he returned to the pitch last month in a legends game marking the 120th anniversary of his boyhood club Independiente.
However, he managed just 11 minutes before his shoulder POPPED OUT.
Aguero scored 260 goals in 390 appearances across a 10-year stint with Man City.
He won a host of trophies during his time at the Etihad including five Premier League titles, one FA Cup and six League Cups.
