Over the offseason, the Giants had signed Eric Haase.
He is coming off a year where he appeared in 30 games for the Milwaukee Brewers.
Before the season began, Haase was released.
That said, he has now been brought back to the organization on a minor league deal (h/t MLB Trade Rumors).
Jeff Young of Around The Foghorn wrote: “It looks like Eric Haase is back with the Giants organization. He is in tonight’s lineup at catcher. Haase was originally released by the Giants at the end of spring training.”

He was competing with Rule 5 pick Daniel Susac and prospect Jesús Rodríguez for the backup job behind Patrick Bailey. Haase hit .286 with a couple home runs while striking out 14 times in 32 plate appearances this spring. San Francisco stuck with Susac in the backup role. They optioned Rodríguez while granting Haase his release.”
