Trevoh Chalobah’s transfer preference has reportedly been revealed as Chelsea look to sell the England World Cup defender.
The Three Lions star received a late call up to Thomas Tuchel’s squad and is currently preparing for the huge round of 16 clash against Mexico on Monday morning.
The 26-year-old has made 151 appearances for his club since his debut under Tuchel in 2021, winning two Club World Cups and the UEFA Conference League, but Chelsea have told the academy graduate he is free to leave this summer.
Cesc Fabregas’ Como have seen a £22million bid rejected, with the Blues holding out for £35m, with Inter Milan also interested in his services.

The transfer saga has seen a further twist in the last few days, with talkSPORT reporting that Chalobah is one of four players Chelsea have offered to Premier League rivals Crystal Palace.
Xabi Alonso wants to sign Palace’s star centre-back Maxence Lacroix and is hoping that a swap for Chalobah, Tosin Adarabioyo, Axel Disasi or Benoit Badiashile may sweeten the deal.
Chalobah spent the first-half of the 2024/25 season on loan at Selhurst Park after being exiled from Enzo Maresca’s first-team but was suddenly recalled amid an injury crisis at Stamford Bridge.
He greatly impressed during his loan spell, with then-manager Oliver Glasner expressing interest in signing him permanently, and the Eagles are in need of reinforcements as they prepare to play in the Europa League for the first time.
But according to Fabrizio Romano, Chaloah’s preference is to move to Italy with his agents currently in Milan to discuss personal terms with Inter.
Como are not out of the race yet, though it’s said the £35m asking price will prove too steep for them.
It is not known whether, Adarabioyo, Disasi or Badiashile would appeal to Palace, who are looking at former Leeds United and England U21 star Charlie Cresswell as a potential Lacroix replacement.
Chalobah is yet to play at the 2026 World Cup but may yet feature against Mexico, amid an injury crisis at right-back.
Reece James, Jarrell Quansah and Declan Rice are doubts for the game, while Djed Spence struggled in the round of 32 win over DR Congo.
Chalobah has played at right-back before or may even be drafted in to start at centre-back with Ezri Konsa shifted to the full-back position.
