A 13-year-old boy is in critical condition after being shot by another child on Friday afternoon in Fuller Park.
Police said a 9-year-old boy was inside a home in the 4200 block of South Wells Street with a firearm. He reportedly fired one shot around 4 p.m. on Friday, hitting a 13-year-old boy in the shoulder.
The wounded boy was taken to the University of Chicago Medical Center, where he was in critical condition.
A handgun was found at the scene, police said. Detectives are investigating the shooting.
