A Chicago man faces felony charges after he allegedly sent and solicited sexually explicit photos to a teenager, according to the Cook County Sheriff’s Office.
Luis Gonzalez, 43, is charged with indecent solicitation of a child, grooming, and manufacturing harmful material, the sheriff’s office announced Friday.
In June, the sheriff’s office received a tip that Gonzalez, who lives in Englewood, had illegal contact with a teenager. An investigation found Gonzalez sent sexually explicit photos and videos of himself to the teenage victim, and asked for similar images from the teen. Gonzalez also allegedly discussed having sex with the victim and encouraged the teen to sneak out to meet him, police said.
Gonzalez, who was arrested Tuesday, appeared in court Friday and was ordered detained at Cook County Jail.
