KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The start of the White Sox game against the Royals was delayed Saturday afternoon due to rain in Kansas City.
Crews pulled the tarp over the infield at Kauffman Stadium about 20 minutes before the scheduled 3:10 p.m. first pitch, which was pushed back to 3:35 p.m. after a quick shower rolled through the area.
Sox starter Erick Fedde (0-2, 4.09 ERA) was scheduled to take on Michael Wacha (1-0, 0.69).
The Sox won the first game of the four-game set Thursday 2-0, but lost by the same score Friday.
Rain was also forecast for Sunday’s series finale, scheduled for 1:10 p.m.
