Distrito de Parques de Chicago instala rejas de estacionamiento automatizadas en 10 playas
Las personas que visiten las playas de Chicago pueden notar cambios en varios estacionamientos en la costa del lago de la ciudad este verano, ya que la Municipalidad implementa un nuevo sistema de gestión de pagos “modernizado”.
El Distrito de Parques de Chicago instaló rejas de estacionamiento automatizadas en 10 lotes en la costa del lago de la ciudad y utiliza lectores de placas para registrar cuándo los conductores entran y salen.
Sin embargo, el pago en los lotes no es algo nuevo. El Distrito de Parques dice que los cambios recientes “simplemente modernizan la forma en que se gestionan y aplican los pagos”. El distrito también mencionó que las rejas puertas ayudarán con la seguridad en los parques.
Los lotes, administrados por SP+, han sido estacionamientos de pago desde 2009.
Bajo el sistema, se permitirá a los visitantes un periodo de gracia gratuito de 15 minutos sin cargo que se puede utilizar para recoger, dejar o descargar suministros. Después de eso, se aplicará una tarifa de estacionamiento. Las tarifas de estacionamiento no han aumentado como resultado de las mejoras, según el Distrito de Parques.
Las tarifas de estacionamiento varían ligeramente según la ubicación, con tarifas de alrededor de $4.07 por hasta una hora y un máximo de $24 para vehículos estacionados por más de nueve horas.
Se instaló un letrero junto a una nueva entrada de estacionamiento el miércoles en el lote de estacionamiento de Waveland Beach en el vecindario de Lake View.
