Zoe Sugg seen in rare outing with Alfie Deyes as couple’s disappearance hits 7 months

For a couple who once filmed almost every coffee run, home makeover and supermarket shop, seeing Zoe Sugg and Alfie Deyes out in public has become something of a rarity.

The YouTube power couple were spotted together this week enjoying a low-key stroll near their West Sussex home, marking their first public sighting in months as Zoe’s mysterious social media disappearance officially reaches the seven-month mark.

Dressed casually for the outing, Zoe (known as Zoella online), 36, wore a white T-shirt tucked into red-and-white striped trousers, finishing the look with trainers and oversized sunglasses as she walked alongside fiancé Alfie, 32.

The pair looked serious as they enjoyed some time together, a far cry from the almost daily glimpses into their lives fans had become accustomed to throughout the 2010s.

Because while they’ve clearly not disappeared in real life, they’ve all but disappeared online.

It’s been nearly seven months since Zoe quietly stopped posting after wrapping up Vlogmas, with the influencer yet to explain her prolonged absence from Instagram or YouTube.

Alfie has also dramatically scaled back his online presence. Once famous for uploading daily vlogs, he’s only posted sporadically this year, making the couple’s silence all the more unusual for two creators who built an empire by sharing their everyday lives.

Naturally, fans have spent months wondering where they’ve gone.

The only real update arrived in June, when planning documents revealed the family had been pouring their attention into an unexpected new passion project.

Alfie submitted plans to transform a five-acre plot of land next to their £1.7million West Sussex home into a donkey sanctuary, complete with stables, a wildlife pond, shepherd huts and areas for beekeeping equipment and land maintenance.

The proposals sparked a local planning dispute after some neighbours raised concerns about new fencing, access gates and increased vehicle movements, while others praised the project as an environmentally friendly return to the land’s agricultural roots.

It offered reassurance that life behind the scenes appeared to be ticking along happily for Zoe, Alfie and daughters Ottie, four, and Novie, two, even if the cameras had stopped rolling.

The timing of the latest sighting has only fuelled fresh speculation among longtime followers.

Every summer, fans begin wondering whether Zoe might revive ‘Vlogust’ — an August counterpart to her hugely successful Vlogmas series, in which she occasionally documented the month in the same cosy, day-in-the-life style that made her one of YouTube’s biggest stars.

With August now beginning, hopeful viewers are once again crossing their fingers that the six-month silence could finally be broken.

Whether that happens remains anyone’s guess.

After more than a decade of inviting millions of subscribers into every corner of their lives, Zoe and Alfie don’t owe anyone a daily vlog.

But judging by the excitement surrounding one simple walk in a pair of red-and-white striped trousers, it’s clear plenty of people would still be delighted to see them press ‘upload’ again.
