A dashcam captured an encounter between a delivery courier and a fuming Range Rover driver, who burst into the van.

The road rage incident happened near Widnes, Cheshire, last month after a delivery driver overtook the luxury car.

The 37-year-old courier, who asked not to be named, said he was called a ‘stupid little p****’ and ‘soft c****’ during the encounter on August 19, which allegedly left him injured and unable to eat due to jaw pain.

The driver claimed he overtook the Range Rover ‘safely and below the speed limit’ because the male driver was ‘attending to his daughter in the passenger seat and going at 12 miles an hour.’

However, this appears to have set the other motorist off, because around five miles later, the white Range Rover pulled up next to him at a red light.

The delivery driver can be heard telling someone outside he was ‘just about to apologise.’

Instead of diffusing the situation, things escalate quickly as a man, believed to be the Range Rover driver, suddenly opens the cab door and jumps in while swearing.

He appears to knock the dashcam over, however, it continues to record as the driver says ‘f****** come here you stupid little p****.’

The dad-of-two told Talk to the Press: ‘I was terrified!

‘It was so shocking and all happened so fast.

‘He was screaming and swearing and I didn’t know what was going on.

‘I just started apologising even though I did nothing wrong because he’s massive and looks like he’s on steroids.’

The Range Rover driver can be heard screaming ‘you just battered my car.’

The courier said he suspects a stone might have ‘flicked up and hit his new car or something’ when he overtook the vehicle.

The incident was witnessed by a young girl sitting inside the Range Rover, the courier said.

He continued: ‘His daughter was about nine and watching the whole thing; she must have been terrified too.

‘This was very scary and has left me feeling much less confident.

‘You just never expect someone to get into your vehicle, and you never expect to be treated like that.’

The shocked courier decided to call the police after reaching home.

The encounter left him £1,200 out of pocket after having to take two weeks off work, the courier claimed, adding that he also suffered a broken nose, facial bruising and jaw pain.

Cheshire Police told Metro in a statement: ‘At 4.40pm on Wednesday 19 August, police were called to reports of a road rage incident in Widnes,
