Al Pacino Celebrates 86th Birthday With Ex Beverly D’Angelo in Heartwarming Reunion

Al Pacino proved that meaningful connections don’t always fade with time. 

The Hollywood legend was spotted celebrating his 86th birthday alongside ex-partner Beverly D’Angelo—more than two decades after their split.

The former couple stepped out together in Beverly Hills on Friday evening, just ahead of Pacino’s big day, according to Page Six.

Both Looked Casual For the Reunion

Despite ending their romantic relationship in 2004, the two appeared relaxed and comfortable in each other’s company, showcasing a bond that has clearly endured.

D’Angelo, 74, kept things casual yet polished, wearing black pants paired with a blazer.

She accessorized with a scarf, sunglasses and a tan leather handbag, finishing the look with sneakers.

Pacino, known for iconic roles in films like “The Godfather” and “Scarface,” opted for a laid-back outfit as well.

He stepped out in a navy jacket, black pants, sneakers and sunglasses. He finished the look with a beanie and scarf.

While their romance may be in the past, their shared history continues to connect them.

Pacino and D’Angelo welcomed twins Anton and Olivia, now 25, in 2001.

Over the years, they’ve maintained a strong co-parenting relationship—one that D’Angelo has openly described as unique and deeply meaningful.

D’Angelo Has Previously Talked About Her Relationship With Pacino

Reflecting on their journey, she once shared in a social media video, “My story with Al began 27 years ago, two artists meeting, falling in love. We lived together for seven years, had two children, broke up, but continued steadily on our journey as co parents—and came to share our lives with a deeper kind of intimacy, honesty and acceptance than a ‘traditional’ relationship would have allowed.”

That foundation has clearly stood the test of time.

D’Angelo has emphasized that their connection goes beyond romance, rooted instead in creativity and mutual respect. 

“We’ve always been linked on the creative level — our conversations about acting, the search/need for expression — that’s a conversation that started in ‘96 and continues to this day,” she said according to an article from Page Six.

She added that their bond is “a true friendship.”

Their commitment to family has also remained central.

Pacino was recently joined by their twins and his eldest daughter, Julie, at a red carpet event celebrating her directorial debut, “I Live Here Now.”

The appearance highlighted the close-knit dynamic the family continues to share.

D’Angelo Took a Break from the Spotlight to Raise Her Kids

For D’Angelo, stepping back from the spotlight to focus on raising her children was a conscious choice.

“I did not raise my kids in that culture,” she explained to People in November 2025, referring to Hollywood’s often intense environment. “If I would have been more focused, maybe I would have had a bigger career, but I was focused on my kids, to tell you the truth.”

She added that becoming a mother later in life shifted her priorities entirely: “I had them so late, and it was like, ‘Well, been there, done that, let’s do this.’ ”

Even after navigating a complicated split, D’Angelo has said their love for their children helped guide them forward.

“The power of our love for our children was the basis for resolving our conflicts and creating a new history as coparents,” she shared on social media.

As Pacino celebrates another milestone year, his reunion with D’Angelo offers a glimpse into a relationship that has evolved rather than ended.
