According to the official press release from the New Hampshire Division of State Police, Authorities said Mirman, 51, was driving along the F.E. Everett Turnpike when his vehicle crashed into the Bedford Toll Plaza shortly before noon.

He was taken by ambulance to a nearby hospital, where he is being treated for what officials described as serious injuries.

Among those at the scene were a state trooper and New Hampshire Gov. Kelly Ayotte, who was traveling nearby with her security team.

“I want to thank the Trooper on my security detail and the bystanders who stepped up to help at the scene of the crash for their brave lifesaving efforts today,” Ayotte said in a statement. “Joe and I are praying for the full recovery of the driver who was injured today.”

Colonel Mark B. Hall also commended the swift response.

“Certainly, their actions were heroic in what they did. Without hesitation, they put themselves in danger to render aid to someone who was in need of it.”

Mirman is best known for voicing Gene Belcher on the long-running animated sitcom “Bob’s Burgers,” where he has appeared in more than 300 episodes.

His career also includes roles in “Flight of the Conchords” and “Confess, Fletch,” earning him recognition for his distinct comedic voice and performances.
