Celebrity Traitors star Joe Lycett will put money behind the bar at 30 pubs this Friday – so you could get a pint on the house while watching the sixth episode of the BBC show.
The comedian, 38, made the announcement on his Channel 4 talk show The Lycett Arms, which streams live from a pub in east London every Friday.
Lycett runs the show from his personalised boozer, which features some on-brand loudly patterned carpeting, and hosts guests who have so far included Sir Lenny Henry and his fellow Celeb Traitors stars Michael Sheen and Miranda Hart.
During the closing moments of the latest episode, Lycett delivered an impassioned plea to support your local, during an extended gag that his pub would be closing at the hands of Stacey Dooley.
‘There are pubs up and down the country ready to welcome you,’ he said, launching into song along with his punters.
‘There are 45,000 pubs in the UK, go and give them some love,’ he added, before listing a raft of them in spots including Manchester, Bristol, Cardiff, Sheffield and a fair few in London.
He then said: ‘Next Friday, I’ll be putting a little bit of money behind the bar in all the pubs you’ve just seen. I hope you can have a drink on me.’
After a bit more riffing on the supposed temporary closure of The Lycett Arms, he added: ‘Do support your nearest and nicest pub.
‘It’s only thanks to your custom that they’ll weather the storm and carry on serving us all. Think global, drink in your local.’
Metro contacted several pubs included on the list, who said they have so far been assured that a member of Lycett’s team will be in touch in the coming days with further information.

As of yet, no time has been given for when the cash will hit the bars, but it is expected to land on Friday, October 16.
Lycett has managed to skate by the first couple of weeks in the Celebrity Traitors castle with only passing suspicion from his fellow contestants.
However, that could soon change, given that he and Julie Hesmondhalgh were awarded the first shields of the series, which attracted raised eyebrows.
The thinking is that the chapel shields might have been a means of Traitor recruitment, which in part led to Hesmondhalgh being banished.
Celebrity Traitors returns on Thursday at 8pm on BBC One and iPlayer.
