Typically, you wouldn’t expect a celebrity to share details about their sex life while promoting a Disney film – but Dwayne Johnson willingly offered up that information.
The Rock made his NSFW admission while promoting the live-action adaptation of 2016’s hit animated film Moana.
He, of course, originally played Maui and has reprised the role of the shapeshifting demigod for the latest version of the musical adventure, which tells the story of a young Moana leaving her island for the first time to embark on an epic adventure.
Throughout the press tour, Johnson has discussed bringing the beloved children’s film to life, but one comment raised eyebrows when he misinterpreted an interviewer’s question entirely.
Appearing on Kiss FM, the Hollywood icon, 54, was asked by presenter Tyler West in a now-viral moment: ‘What’s your stroke of choice?’
After hesitating for a second, he began laughing heartily and then caught the room off guard by saying: ‘Domination.’
Spluttering, West reacted with: ‘Oh, OK, fine! I was going swimming. I was thinking…’
Having genuinely mistaken his question for a more risqué one, a humiliated Johnson declared: ‘Oh s**!’
‘I get it! Maui! The ocean! I went to a whole other place,’ he then realised.
As West concluded the interview with a chuckle and a handshake, Johnson took the blunder in his stride, adding: ‘I just completely gave away my sex life.’
The Jumanji star even proved himself to be a true jokester when he shared the video on his own Instagram page, revealing in his caption that all the travelling and talking was evidently taking its toll.
‘I may always look clean, but under the hood your boy’s filthy 💀🤣’, he penned. ‘Honestly thought he was asking about a different kind of “stroke”.’
‘Jesus 🤦🏽♂️😂 I need carbs. And sleep’, he concluded.
In the comments, fans were living for the slip-up, with @brooksyface writing: ‘As soon as I heard the laugh I knew, uh oh. Honestly what kinda question is that without context’.
‘Even I was like “wait…HUH???” 😂😂😂’, wrote @goldentrckstar102.
‘Domination said with CHEST🤣😂’, laughed @karlusgtailor.
So, now you all know what The Rock is into…
Saying that, this is far from the first time Johnson has made a cheeky comment – plus, alongside his action work, he’s appeared in plenty of comedy flicks with adult gags, like 2017’s Baywatch adaptation.

In 2018, he even bragged about his bedroom activities after DJ Khaled shocked the internet with his refusal to perform oral sex on his wife, Nicole Tuck, saying he wouldn’t ‘go down’ on her even for birthdays or at Christmas.
Taking to social media in response, Johnson, who had just welcomed his second child with his wife, Lauren Hashian, whom he married in 2019, wrote: ‘Ahem.. *clears throat* as a man, I take great pride in mastering ALL performances. This is probably a little TMI.. I will now quietly excuse myself from this fun thread’.
His followers branded it the ultimate ‘mic drop’ moment, with plenty stunned by the ‘freaky’ discovery.
Anyway, Moana (2026), starring Catherine Laga’aia as the lead, will land in cinemas on July 10. It has a PG rating, so it will contain none of the above.
