Influencer Emilie Kiser has announced she is expecting her third child, describing the pregnancy as ‘a bright light’ after one of the darkest years of her family’s life.
The 27-year-old shared the emotional news on Instagram, revealing that she and husband Brady Kiser, are preparing to welcome another baby just over a year after the devastating drowning death of their three-year-old son, Trigg.
The couple are already parents to 15-month-old Theodore, known as Teddy.
‘We are so grateful and excited to share that we will be welcoming another baby into our family,’ Emilie wrote alongside a series of family photographs.
‘This news feels very surreal and has already been such a bright light to us during some of our darkest days.’
She also confirmed that, after everything her family has endured, she intends to keep much of this pregnancy private. ‘As I stated last year, my family’s privacy will always be my priority,’ she wrote.
‘Because of that, I’m not sure how much I will be sharing about this pregnancy and next phase of life, but I appreciate your understanding as I navigate those boundaries.’
Emilie added that the baby had already brought ‘so much hope and joy’ into their home as they prepare for ‘this next chapter’ together.
The announcement comes just over a year after Trigg died following a drowning accident at the family’s Arizona home.
The toddler fell into the backyard swimming pool on May 12, 2025, and died in hospital six days later.
In the months that followed, the tragedy became the subject of intense public scrutiny.
Police recommended Brady face a felony child abuse charge after investigating the circumstances surrounding the drowning, but prosecutors later announced they would not pursue criminal charges.
Previously released police records alleged Brady lost sight of Trigg while caring for newborn Teddy, with investigators claiming surveillance footage showed the three-year-old had been unsupervised for longer than initially described.
More recently, Emilie won a court battle to prevent the most graphic details of the investigation from becoming public.
A judge ruled that portions of the police report, including descriptions of responding officers’ body camera footage, were so emotionally distressing that keeping them private was justified.
The ruling stated that the potential harm to the family outweighed any public interest in releasing the material. Despite the unimaginable loss, Emilie has gradually begun speaking about her grief.
Earlier this year, she responded to a follower who asked how she had ‘healed’ following Trigg’s death.
‘You don’t heal from the loss, you learn to live with the grief,’ she wrote, explaining that therapy had helped her find empathy, forgiveness and the strength to stop worrying about public opinion.
She later sat down for her first full interview since the tragedy on Jay Shetty’s On Purpose podcast, where she reflected on how profoundly losing a child had changed her life.
‘Losing a child really shows you in the scariest, most real way possible just how quickly life can change,’ she said.
The influencer also spoke candidly about the strain the accident placed on her marriage.
She admitted she initially felt overwhelming anger towards Brady and questioned whether their relationship would survive before realising the same tragedy could just as easily have happened had she been the parent at home that evening.
‘This could have just as easily been me in Brady’s position,’ she said.
While acknowledging that nothing could excuse what happened, Emilie explained that recognising how easily their roles could have been reversed helped her find compassion for her husband.
Now, as they prepare to welcome another child, Emilie says her focus remains firmly on protecting her family’s privacy while embracing a future that, after so much heartbreak, once again holds hope.
