Sony has announced new DLC for Ghost Of Yōtei, including a story expansion, as well as a Complete Edition.
After adding the co-op mode Legends earlier this year, Sony is doubling down on Ghost Of Yōtei with even more DLC.
As announced on Wednesday (August 12), the sequel to Ghost Of Tsushima will receive a story expansion titled Echoes Of Sekigahara on October 1, 2026.
According to the PlayStation Blog, the expansion is ‘split between the present day and flashbacks to Atsu’s time on the mainland’. Along with a ‘previously unseen valley’, it will include new heavy weapons, armour sets, dyes, and other extras.
If you’re the bloodthirsty type, a new single-player combat survival mode called Ghost Of Yōtei: Most Wanted launches on the same day. This sees you go on runs to earn new perks and unlock new characters, with Oyuki and Nagato confirmed to be playable as well as Atsu.
For those who haven’t yet bought Ghost Of Yōtei, you can grab the base game, Legends, and these two additions, in the Ghost Of Yōtei Complete Edition for £69.99.

Additionally, if you buy it before September 30, you’ll get an early unlock of the Sakai Armour for Atsu to wear, which is a callback to Jin’s family armour from Ghost Of Tsushima.
If you do already own the main game, you can purchase the Complete Edition Upgrade for £11.99. This will give you access to both the story expansion and Most Wanted when they launch on October 1, along with other cosmetic extras previously seen in the Digital Deluxe Edition.
There’ll be some freebies on October 1 too. A new patch will add the Beauty Of Yōtei mode, which ‘allows for a screensaver-like view of the environments of Ezo to keep on and relax at home’.
It will also include quality of life features, like being able to keep on the same armour’s appearance when using a different set’s stats, and a high contrast accessibility option.
Beyond Marvel’s Wolverine, Sony doesn’t have a major AAA title for the Christmas season, so this complete edition might be a way to boost Ghost Of Yōtei’s appeal in the run-up.
In February this year, Sony said Ghost Of Yōtei was outpacing sales of its predecessor. It launched on October 2 last year, and after a month, it had already sold 3.3 million copies.
