Brianne Howey is celebrating Mother’s Day with some exciting family news.

The “Ginny & Georgia” star revealed on Sunday, May 10, that she and husband Matt Ziering are expecting their second child together.

Howey shared the happy announcement in a sweet Instagram post featuring a mirror selfie of the actress cradling her growing baby bump while wearing a bright yellow strapless dress.

“Here we grow again💛,” she captioned the post. “Happy Mother’s Day!”

The announcement immediately sent fans into celebration mode, with many flooding the comments section to congratulate the actress and praise the timing of the reveal.

Some fans also couldn’t help but point out the amusing connection between Howey’s real life and her hit Netflix series.

It’s Howey’s Second Child

The pregnancy marks baby No. 2 for Howey and Ziering, who married in 2021 after several years together.

The couple welcomed their first child, a daughter, in June 2023.

At the time, the actress shared the joyful milestone with fans on Instagram, posting a photo of herself cradling her newborn.

She wrote, “My whole world just got a whole lot sweeter. And smaller. Welcome my little love.”

Howey will occasional share sweet moments with her daughter. Back in March, she took her to Disneyland and shared a carousel of images to social media.

Howey Says Motherhood Helped Her to Understand Her Character More

Since becoming a mom, Howey has spoken openly about how motherhood has shifted her perspective — especially when it comes to understanding her “Ginny & Georgia” character, Georgia Miller.

While promoting the newest season of the hit Netflix drama, the actress admitted her feelings about Georgia changed dramatically after having her daughter, according to People.

“Prior to having a child, of course, I thought many of the Georgia-isms were absolutely insane and unhinged and over the top, and why is she taking up so much space?” she explained.

But motherhood gave her a completely different outlook.

“Now that I have a child, I am so obsessed with her that I understand why Georgia is so obsessed with Ginny, and my heart only got bigger and I just have even more respect for all the moms out there.”

The popular show was renewed for a fourth season, but no release date has been announced.
