Keanu Reeves and Alexandra Grant Step Out for Rare NYC Date Night

Keanu Reeves and Alexandra Grant are keeping things effortlessly low-key—even on the red carpet.

The longtime couple stepped out together on Monday, April 6, for a rare date night at the world premiere of Apple TV’s “Outcome”, held at AMC Lincoln Square in New York City.

The Two Looked Comfortable During the Outing

The pair appeared relaxed and happy as they posed for photos, even holding hands during the outing.

Reeves, 61, kept his look classic in a black suit paired with a dark gray shirt and tie, while Grant, 53, complemented him in a gray printed coat layered over a black outfit. 

The coordinated tones and understated styling matched their typically private, no-frills approach to public appearances.

The appearance marks one of the couple’s more high-profile outings in recent months. Reeves and Grant first went public with their relationship in November 2019 when they attended the LACMA Art + Film Gala in Los Angeles.

However, their connection dates back years earlier—they collaborated on the 2011 book “Ode to Happiness,” blending Grant’s artwork with Reeves’ writing.

Grant Previously Shut Down Marriage Rumors

Despite their long-standing relationship, the couple has faced persistent rumors about their status—particularly speculation that they secretly tied the knot. 

Grant addressed those rumors directly in March while speaking with PEOPLE, explaining why she felt the need to set the record straight.

“I couldn’t take it anymore!” she said of the wedding speculation. “I was like, Ok, we’re going to do this thing, and that’s going to stop it. And I have to say, for the most part, it did.”

The artist revealed that the rumors had reached a point where they were difficult to ignore. “Our main goal was to have people stop congratulating us,” Grant explained. “It was like, thank you so much, and we really love each other, but we’re not married. Like, how many times can you say that in a day? So I just wanted the truth out there.”

Outside of her relationship, recently celebrated her 53rd birthday, sharing a reflective message about growth and embracing new chapters in life.

“Grateful for every day. It turns out that blossoming never stops,” she wrote. “Being a woman over 50 is not what I expected… it’s a revelation. It brings clarity… coming into fearlessness and power… the deepening of falling in love… knowing there’s so much to learn.”

She continued, “I’m grateful for those who are encouraging me to keep flowing, opening up, expressing, and supporting others… Let’s go 53! XoXo.”

Together, Reeves and Grant continue to strike a balance between public appearances and private life—showing up when it matters, and doing it entirely on their own terms.
