Katie Price’s husband Lee Andrews is reportedly still behind bars in Dubai – despite claims last month that he had finally been released.
The businessman, 43, was said to have walked free in July following his second stint in Dubai’s Al Awir prison after allegedly being arrested over unpaid debts.
But eyebrows were raised as the notoriously online Lee stayed totally quiet on social media, causing widespread speculation about his whereabouts.
However, it has now been claimed Lee never actually left jail at all – but has spent weeks telling fellow inmates that his release is just around the corner.
According to The Sun, Lee has repeatedly insisted that his exit paperwork is ‘sorted’, only for another week to pass with him remaining firmly behind bars.
His apparent assurances are reportedly wearing thin with those around him, with sources claiming inmates have become ‘fed up with his constant lies’.
Lee was taken by police to Lahab police station in the Dubai desert on July 10 and was reportedly attempting to raise £120,000 to settle outstanding debts and secure his release.
It is understood he needs to find the money before he can leave prison and potentially return to the UK.
His father Peter was also reportedly detained over separate fraud allegations and was said to have ended up in the same prison as his son.
The pair are thought to have seen one another while behind bars, although Peter has since allegedly been released.
Lee has maintained his innocence over the allegations against him.
A source previously told the DailyMail: ’Both Lee and his dad are now behind bars, in the same prison. Lee maintains his innocence, and is hoping to pay off his outstanding debts and get out of that hell hole as quickly as possible.
‘He is trying to raise the collateral to get him out of the country, and return to the UK where he hopes to start his life afresh.’
While questions continue to swirl around her husband’s situation, Katie, 48, has given a very public indication that she may still be standing by him.
The former glamour model was pictured wearing her wedding ring again in an Instagram selfie on Monday.
The display comes after reports suggested the mum-of-five had reached ‘the end of her tether’ with the drama surrounding her husband.
Friends were said to have been urging Katie to walk away from the relationship, with a source previously claiming she was ‘furious’ over the situation.
They said: ‘Whether poor Katie will be there to greet him on the other side remains to be seen. Right now she is furious with it all, and fed up with all the drama and white noise her husband is bringing. Friends are urging her to leave him.’
However, putting her wedding ring back on appears to suggest she isn’t ready to call time on the marriage just yet.
Katie has previously broken her silence over the allegations surrounding her husband, making it clear she wanted answers about claims involving people who say they have been wronged by him.

Speaking on her podcast, she said she intended to have producer Ben interview Lee and question him about the controversy.
‘In fact, I’m going to get Ben to interview him and Ben is going to delve in deep and I want to hear everything and it’s too much and I don’t like people hurting people,’ she said.
‘That’s all I’m saying on it, I’ve not put anything up online, so you’ve heard it here for the first time.’
In a June interview with The Sun, the reality TV star explained that she’s had a ‘tough few weeks’, having liaised with authorities in the UAE to try and trace Lee before it came to light that he was behind bars.
‘But I’ve still stayed strong through it all, and I have a smile on my face.
Everything Lee Andrews has been accused of since marrying Katie Price
Misleading claims of being a multi-millionaire business owner
When Katie introduced Lee as her new partner, he presented himself as the CEO of Aura Group Future Urban Travel 2027 and an investor in ‘SpaceX Hybrid Fitness’.
His social media, which boasted more than 100,000 followers, was filled with photos of luxury cars, lavish Dubai lifestyles and apparent encounters with celebrities including Elon Musk and Kim Kardashian.
But the image quickly began to unravel. There appeared to be little evidence of his businesses operating as described, while several of the celebrity photos were later alleged to have been created using AI.
Being banned from leaving Dubai
After meeting and marrying her new husband in Dubai, it came time for Katie to fly home to the UK – however her husband was unable to join her.
This was due to the fact that he’d allegedly served time in Dubai’s Al Awir central prison for suspected fraud, for allegedly taking out a £200,000 mortgage in his ex-girlfriend’s name without her knowledge.
The UAW bans people facing criminal investigations from leaving the country, however Lee denied he was unable to return to the UK and said there must be some ‘wrong details’.
However, Katie later confirmed he was subjected to a ban, but didn’t clarify why.
Being jailed – and reportedly arrested again – in Dubai
Shortly after Katie returned to the UK, Lee remained in Dubai while dealing with financial issues.
Last month, it was reported he had spent four weeks in Dubai’s Al Awir prison over outstanding debts before being released.
On July 11, he was arrested again after allegedly attempting to raise around £120,000 he believed he owed.
According to The Sun, Lee sent a message to a friend saying: ‘They’ve arrested me. Katie might need to bail me out. We need to make a noise with a Go Fund Me.’
A spokesperson for Lahbab Police Station told the newspaper they had no record of Andrews being there, while Katie’s representative declined to comment.
Teasing a fake pregnancy
Just a few weeks into their relationship, both Katie and Lee teased they were expecting a baby. After Katie declared she was ‘having his child’ Lee wrote they were a ‘perfect couple soon to be triple’.
At one point, the mum of five even urged her followers to pay £2.99 to find out the results of a pregnancy test.
Despite the attempts to generate publicity, she then confirmed she was not pregnant.
Scamming a string of women
Days after Katie and Lee tied the knot, two of his exes accused him of being a ‘liar, narcissist and manipulator’.
Months later, it was then reported he’d been begging women for money weeks before he married Katie.
His ex Alana, then shared a post on Instagram calling him the ‘Tinder Swindler’ and claimed multiple women had contacted her saying he’d tried to scam them out of money too.
She later went on a podcast to share more details of her relationship with Lee, claiming ‘I genuinely thought that potentially he could have killed me.’
Faking a kidnapping
After Lee failed to return to the UK, Katie revealed she had concerns he’d been kidnapped and then reported him as a missing person.
He was later found to be in prison in Dubai. Following his release, he returned to social media with an extraordinary account of events, claiming he he had been ‘kidnapped at gunpoint’, ‘slapped around’ and falsely accused of espionage.
Dubai authorities have disputed suggestions he was detained over spying allegations, previously describing the matter as a private civil dispute.
Court documents later revealed two outstanding legal cases against Lee, including an alleged £54,000 debt linked to a rental car company and a separate claim for approximately £15,000 in unpaid legal fees.
‘So, in this situation, I’m doing what I want to do, and I’m out here in Dubai because I’m here to help Lee.’
She acknowledged that ‘some people might not like [her] choices’, but, in true Pricey style, she’s ‘not living for everyone else’.
‘I know people have been calling me stupid. I see all the trolling; I hear it. I am not stupid.’
Katie went on to say that she has been ‘taking notes’ but she feels ‘protected’ against Lee’s potential scams, due to the ‘nation looking out for [her]’.
‘I’m not a mug, and when I finally see Lee, I am going to question him. And if the answers I get are not right, that will be it: I’ll be done.
‘That’s it. And I’ll just get on with my life… and not find a man on Instagram and message him.’

Lee may still be missing, but that didn’t stop Katie from enjoying herself as she cosied up to Wayne Lineker last week.
She’s been on holiday in Ibiza with friend Lou Roy and actor-turned-businessman Wayne, who owns a chain of day clubs, including one in Ibiza.
The trio posted various suggestive snaps and videos. In one photo, all three were posing together with Katie wearing a skimpy bikini and thin shawl as Gary Lineker’s brother snaked his arm around her waist.
In another video over on Wayne’s Instagram, the two recreated the iconic beach scene from White Chicks.
Wayne is lying on a sunlounger as he lip-syncs: ‘Ah, what a beautiful sunny day.’
A shadow then crosses over him – the gag being that we’re meant to think it’s the eclipse that took place last night – as he says: ‘Wait, what happened to the sun?’ while sultry music plays.
The camera then pans to reveal Katie in a bikini with her large breasts as the true reason behind the sudden shade. She finishes the cinematic reference by miming the sentence: ‘Easy, white chocolate, I wouldn’t want you to melt.’
The tongue-in-cheek caption simply reads: ‘Triple eclipse’
