Two major British TV stars ‘replace Emma Willis as hosts of The Voice UK’

Emma Willis is booked and busier than ever, with two high-profile hosts set to take over her role on The Voice from next year.

The 50-year-old TV presenter has helmed the ITV singing reality competition since 2014, but she’s entering a new phase of her career as one-half of the Love Is Blind UK duo (hosting with her husband Matt) and, of course, as a new Strictly presenter.

Fret not, she’ll still be on our screens for the upcoming season, landing next week. As always, she’ll be joined by the coaches.

This season, the newly inaugurated Kelly Rowland will be taking over from LeAnn Rimes, while McFly’s Danny Jones and Tom Fletcher, Will.i.am and Sir Tom Jones will all be returning to the hot seat.

But from next year, the show could look very different, with sources claiming Britain’s Got Talent judge Alesha Dixon, 47, and media personality Stacey Solomon, 36, will be taking the reins from Emma.

The pair had already worked together on BGT when Stacey stepped in for Simon Cowell, reportedly impressing bosses with their chemistry.

An insider told The Mirror: ‘Alesha is a pop star and TV judge on a hit Saturday night show, and Stacey found fame thanks to the X Factor and is now a TV presenter on Sort Your Life Out, where her empathy with people is off the chart.

‘They have brilliant energy together and are buzzing to take on The Voice UK. Everyone is really excited.’

If true, it seems as though Stacey would take on more of a behind-the-scenes role, previously held by Marvin Humes before he left the show in 2016 without a replacement.

The Stacey and Alesha news comes after it was previously reported that Love Island’s Maya Jama was in advanced talks to take over the spot. When asked about it, she quickly shot it down, saying: ‘Oh yeah, so funny – I’m not hosting that.’

That’s not the only shake-up next year’s show is facing. Danny and Tom are said to be stepping back after only two seasons as mentors, with rapper Aitch reported to be taking a seat in the swivel chair instead.

Explaining their exit, a source told The Sun it mostly came down to time constraints.

‘Tom and Danny loved their time on the show, but a full series is a huge commitment.

‘Tom is back and forth from New York, working on taking Paddington: The Musical over there from London’s West End – and he’s also in and out of the studio writing the eighth McFly album with Danny.

‘As much as they would have liked to return to The Voice, sadly it’s impossible,’ the insider said.

This new season has been a long time coming and was first recorded in 2024, but the show was rested in 2025, meaning The Voice fans have been waiting patiently for its return.

The Voice UK returns on Saturday, August 22 at 7pm on ITV1 and ITVX.
