<p id=”par-1_45″>Lindsey Buckingham and Stevie Nicks’ <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/news/stevie-nicks-never-forgive-lindsey-buckingham-slight.html/”>tumultuous relationship</a> appeared to suffer a fatal blow when <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/news/music/lindsey-buckingham-suggested-stevie-nicks-gave-fleetwood-mac-ultimatum-when-fired.html/”>Fleetwood Mac fired him</a> in 2018. Recently, though, they teamed up to re-release their 1973 album, <em>Buckingham Nicks</em>. Buckingham opened up about repairing his relationship with his former girlfriend and bandmate.</p>

<p id=”par-2_51″>When Fleetwood Mac fired Buckingham in 2018, Nicks said she wanted <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/news/stevie-nicks-said-lindsey-buckinghams-treatment-harry-styles-partially-responsible-firing-fleetwood-mac.html/”>nothing to do with him</a> moving forward. Their relationship had been rocky for decades, and a perceived slight by Buckingham was the final straw for Nicks. Years later, however, they announced that they were reissuing their 1973 album, <em>Buckingham Nicks</em>. </p>

<p id=”par-3_23″>Buckingham said that working on the project together brought them close again. He hinted that they could work together again in the future.</p>
<p id=”par-4_86″>“I think on a more general level, just the energy in terms of what <em>Buckingham Nicks</em> did to sort of create a resurgence of connection between Stevie and myself, I think on a larger scale, that seems to be something that’s in the air,” he told Instagram followers (via <a target=”_blank” href=”https://www.rollingstone.com/music/music-features/lindsey-buckingham-plans-stevie-nicks-1235538820/” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>Rolling Stone</a>). “And what that translates to specifically, I wouldn’t want to speculate yet. But I believe with all my heart, it will translate to something good, and something wonderful, and something needed and something extremely appropriate.”</p>

Even decades after this, Nicks said she didn’t think the <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/news/stevie-nicks-revealed-moment-knew-relationship-lindsey-buckingham-came-decades-split.html/”>connection between them</a> would die.</p>
<p id=”par-6_59″>“That electric crazy attraction between Lindsey Buckingham and Stevie Nicks never dies, never will die, never will go away,” she told <a target=”_blank” href=”https://www.mtv.com/?xrs=PPM-18-10caf1c” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>MTV</a> in 2009. “He’s married, he’s happy, he has three beautiful children that I love. You know, he’s found a good, happy, calm, safe place — but who Lindsey and I are to each other will never change.”</p>
<p id=”par-7_23″>While she said she knew things were over for good when Buckingham had his first child, she still saw their dynamic as romantic.</p>
<p id=”par-8_42″>“It’s over,” she said. “It doesn’t mean the great feeling isn’t there, it must mean that … you know, we’re beauty and the beast. It means that the love is always there but we’ll never be together, so that’s even more romantic.”</p>

<p id=”par-9_27″>Buckingham was recently attacked by a woman in Santa Monica. When he arrived at an appointment, a woman threw an unknown substance on him. She then fled.</p>
