In what is one of the biggest leaks the games industry has ever seen, more than 70 games, including ones not yet announced, have had their Steam achievements leaked online.
You probably thought the upcoming Nintendo Direct would be the biggest gaming news of the day, but Valve has beaten Nintendo to the punch with what may well be the worst gaming leak you’ll ever see.
A huge collection of upcoming video games have had their Steam achievement lists leaked online, including not just titles launching this year but ones not due until late 2027 and even games not yet announced.
For things like EA Sports FC 27, this isn’t that big of a deal, but it means more story focused games have had key details spoiled for them in advance, including Kingdom Hearts 4 and Persona 6.
As such, we’d exercise caution, since Kingdom Hearts 4’s achievement list gives away multiple unconfirmed Disney worlds besides the already known Coco world and, although Persona 6’s are harder to understand, you can infer story details from them.
Persona 6 being on there is especially damning since the game lacks even a release year. If there’s information for it already on Steam, though, this lends credence to it launching in 2027, after Persona 4 Revival’s February launch.

Other prominent titles include Fable, Gears Of War: E-Day, and Silent Hill: Townfall. Even Judas is on there, despite having no release date – with many assuming it had actually been cancelled.
The leak also spoils the existence of several games not yet announced. One that caught our eye was Professor Layton VS Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney, which was only ever available on the Nintendo 3DS. So, it must be seeing a re-release in the near future.

As for how this happened, the achievement lists were shared via Exophase, a website that lets you track your achievements across multiple platforms, but exactly how these made it on the site to begin with is still a mystery.
Whatever the case, this means a big headache for Valve, as it’s ultimately their fault, and will get them into serious trouble with the various publishers that have had their games spoiled – especially Japanese companies like Sega and Square Enix, who will be livid over the Persona and Kingdom Hearts leaks.
Valve should count itself lucky that Rockstar opted not to launch GTA 6 on PC because if achievements for that had leaked, Rockstar would have nuked Valve from orbit. Although GTA 6’s absence may imply that the PC version is further out than many expect.
At the time of writing, Valve has not issued a comment on the situation, although if it does, it’ll hopefully be a better explanation than the one Nvidia provided when it accidentally leaked a bunch of unannounced games in 2021.
Nvidia described the list as purely ‘speculative’, even though it was obviously anything but at the time and has subsequently proven to be entirely accurate.
