<p id=”par-4_101″>Honigman pointed out that the duchess’s “arms and hands join up often, both when standing and observing, and when talking to the contestants. Those joining arms and joining hands take many forms, but their intention is one. If it is one hand clutching the other, or one arm resting its elbow on the other arm, or the fingers laced together. Those moves create a protective screen across the duchess’s body. Linking up the hands or the arms forms a shield. They represent a vulnerability as she is clearly out of her comfort zone and keen to make a good impression. </p>
<p id=”par-5_110″>“Meghan doesn’t express many signs of nerves, but these shields are the one big indication of her anxious mindset in the <em>MasterChef</em> studio. But there are many moments where she is seen to feel proud, superior, or even haughty. Especially when talking to the contestants, she talks down her nose at them. A suppressed smile, raised eyebrows, and the occasional defiant chin are signs of confidence spilling into overconfidence. Primarily, subtle chin movements represent her feeling of being above the others. A jutting chin, a raised chin, and a puckered chin are all signifiers of superiority, and show a sense of being better than her peers or having achieved more.”</p>
