Nancy Guthrie’s Neighborhood Is Now ‘Pretty Quiet,’ Yet Sadness Remains

Nancy Guthrie update

As the search for Nancy Guthrie reaches its 88th day, her neighborhood is now “pretty quiet,” though sadness still lingers.

In the latest episode of “Brian Entin Investigates,” NewsNation’s Brian Entin visited one of Nancy’s neighbors, Aldine, and talked about the current situation in the area.

“It’s pretty quiet now. Everybody’s gone,” Aldine noted. “I think there’s a couple of YouTubers that are still out there, but it’s quiet, but there’s a sadness. We all miss Nancy.”

Nancy Guthrie’s Neighbor Notes Increased Police Presence

Aldine also admitted that she thinks about Nancy Guthrie “pretty much every day,” and hopes there will be a resolution soon.

She added that she’s seen FBI cars back in the area a few times, but hasn’t seen agents on foot.

Still, Aldine noticed an increased police presence in their neighborhood, which she thinks is a good thing.

“Yeah, we’ve definitely noticed the police presence. Which is a good feeling,” she told Entin. “Cuz it’s still scary because it’s still an unknown.”

Despite the neighborhood becoming “pretty quiet,” people still stop by Nancy Guthrie’s home to leave flowers.

“I think people are still coming by. Not as many, but they are definitely coming by,” Aldine added. “But it’s pretty mellow, basically.”

As for the current status of the Nancy Guthrie investigation, Aldine admitted that they are worried the case may not be solved.

“We think about it not getting solved and yeah, we are a little worried,” she said.

Still, Aldine believes people won’t forget Nancy Guthrie anytime soon, noting that even people from overseas know about her case.

“I’m not nervous that people move on. I mean, I think it’s such a sad thing,” Aldine added. “I don’t think anybody will ever forget this case. People in Europe, they all knew about it. So, I don’t think it’s ever going to go away.”

Nancy Guthrie Was ‘Vivacious,’ Says Neighbor

Aldine said that there are a lot of people in their neighborhood who would love to have a way to memorialize Nancy Guthrie.

“I think there’s a lot of people that would love a memorial, but like I said, it’s of course on the property, it’s up to the family,” she continued. “I really respect the family and let them mourn the way that they need to mourn.”

Aldine has nothing but kind words to say about her missing neighbor, whom she describes as a “lovely person.”

“She was very vivacious, very kind, very open, very nice,” she added. “She was just a lovely person. And as I said, she probably loves the different connections that have been made. I’ve met lots of really nice people because of her, which I’m very grateful for.”
