Olly Murs has admitted to feeling ‘guilty’ as his wife looks after their baby daughter while he’s on the road.

The former X Factor star is currently on tour with Take That, having left home just 48 hours after his other half, Amelia Tank, gave birth to their first child.

It’s been a whirlwind couple of weeks for Olly, to say the least, who was reunited with his little girl, named Madison, last week before being torn away again for his opening act duties.

The 39-year-old was performing at London’s O2 Arena this weekend when he declared his admiration for Amelia as she spends the first few precious weeks on her own with Madison, nappy changes galore.

‘It’s been the most craziest time,’ he began, in quotes obtained by the Daily Mail.

‘Because obviously, on one hand I’ve got this beautiful baby girl, my wife is at home looking after her with the nappies, and the sleepless nights.

‘And I’m on tour with Take That. I feel guilty!’

Olly continued: ‘But this week I’ve been home. I’ve done the nappies, I’ve done the late nights and I can’t wait to stay on tour.

‘I’m joking! Honestly, she is truly awesome. I never thought I’d be a dad, so I can’t quite believe it.

The Heart Skips A Beat hitmaker then jokingly pointed to his nether region and laughed: ‘It works! And genuinely I’m super, super proud.

‘And to be on this tour, it’s just topped it off. So what an amazing time for me right now.’

Former The Voice UK coach Olly then introduced what has sweetly been named ‘the mini Murs medley’, consisting of his fan favourite tunes: Troublemaker, Moves, and Dear Darlin’.

‘When I got on this tour, I thought, I just wanna play loads and loads of my songs that hopefully some of you guys remember,’ he explained.

‘And before the baby was here, we actually called this next section the mini Murs medley.

‘And so, ladies and gentlemen, if you’ve been following my career since 2009, some of these songs you will remember I hope you guys enjoy them. This is literally my Super Bowl moment!’

Olly and his bodybuilder wife, 31, announced the arrival of their daughter last Thursday.

Amelia, who married Olly in July last year, shared a video of him on stage after their goodbyes.

Sharing a clip of Olly performing, Amelia wrote on social media: ‘I’ve just been sat feeding our baby Madi and then we see this post. She doesn’t even know she’s got a super Daddy yet. We are both missing you very much but so proud of you @ollymurs.’

Olly reposted Amelia’s video, followed by a picture of himself hugging a bunny after receiving it as a gift from a fan on tour.

He wrote: ‘Aww you guys. Madi will love it.’
