Academy Award-nominated actress Abigail Breslin turns 30 today. The star was born on April 14, 1996, in New York City.

Breslin’s first on-screen appearances (both in movies and on television) came in 2002, when she was only a young child. Her big screen debut same in the sci-fi horror “Signs,” while she appeared in two shows on the small screen that year.

On the day Breslin celebrates becoming a tricenarian, we’re going to take a look back at her over the years, starting with her very earliest photographs, all the way up to what she looks like today.

As already touched upon, Breslin’s first appearance in a movie came in 2002 when she played Bo Hess in the sci-fi horror movie “Signs.” In the early 2000s, she also appeared in the comedy-drama movie “Raising Helen,” the rom-com “The Princess Diaries 2: Royal Engagement,” the drama movie “Keane,” and the comedy movie “Chestnut: Hero of Central Park” (all in 2004).

On television, she appeared in an episode of sitcom “What I Like About You” and crime drama “Hack” in 2002, and episodes of police procedurals “Law & Order: Special Victims Unit” and “NCIS” in 2004.


The Mid-Late 2000s

In the mid-late 2000s, Breslin’s career exploded.

Movie-wise, her credits included sports comedy “Air Buddies,” tragicomedy “Little Miss Sunshine” (for which she received an Academy Award nomination), drama “The Ultimate Gift,” and festive comedy “The Santa Clause 3: The Escape Clause” in 2006. In 2007, she appeared in the romantic comedy-drama “No Reservations.” 2008 saw her appear in rom-com “Definitely, Maybe,” adventure movie “Nim’s Island,” and comedy-drama “Kit Kittredge: An American Girl.” Finally, in 2009, Breslin appeared in the legal melodrama “My Sister’s Keeper” and comedy horror “Zombieland.”

On the small screen, she appeared in the made-for-television drama film “Family Plan.” She also appeared in episodes of supernatural series “Ghost Whisperer” and medical drama “Grey’s Anatomy.”


The Early 2010s

In the early 2010s, Breslin gained many movie credits. In 2010, she provided a voice in the educational sci-fi documentary “Quantum Quest: A Cassini Space Odyssey” and appeared in the drama film “Janie Jones.” 2011’s credits were animated Western comedy “Rango” and rom-com “New Year’s Eve.” 2012 saw her voice a character in animated adventure “Zambezia.” In 2013, she appeared in supernatural horror “Haunter,” crime thriller “The Call,” tragicomedy “August: Osage County,” and sci-fi flick “Ender’s Game.”

She only made one television appearance at this time. It was as a judge on the reality show “Project Runway All Stars.”


The Mid-Late 2010s

In 2019, she appeared in the comedy horror sequel “Zombieland: Double Tap.”

On television, she embarked on her main role as Libby Putney, aka Chanel #5, in the satirical dark comedy slasher series “Scream Queens.” She also appeared in the lead role in the made-for-television version of “Dirty Dancing.”

Breslin’s 2020s movie credits include 2022’s historical film “Canyon Del Muerto” and comedy horror “Slayers,” 2023’s period drama “Miranda’s Victim,” and 2024’s action thriller “Classified.” She also appeared as herself in the horror documentary “Living with Chucky.”

Her small screen credits included the dark comedy series “The Cannibals” and crime drama anthology series “Accused.”


Abigail Breslin Today
