An insider has doubled down on several rumours in the wake of the Nintendo Direct, including Switch 2 ports for multiple Resident Evil games.
The latest Nintendo Direct was awash with third party announcements, including Dragon’s Dogma 2, Stellar Blade, and Kingdom Hearts 4, but several rumoured titles were missing from the presentation.
Earlier this year, insider NateTheHate claimed Capcom was bringing the remakes of Resident Evil 2, Resident Evil 3, and Resident Evil 4 to the Switch 2. It seems like a no-brainer, with both Resident Evil Requiem and the recently announced Resident Evil Veronica launching on Nintendo’s system.
None of these ports were announced during the Nintendo Direct this week, but in the show’s aftermath, NateTheHate has claimed they’re still on the way.
In response to questions about the Resident Evil ports on X, following the Direct, he replied: ‘They are coming to SW2 [Switch 2].’
When someone asked if they’re still planned for this year, he added: ‘As of last plan, yes.’

Earlier this year, NateTheHate claimed a Pikmin 4 Nintendo Switch 2 Edition was also in development and slated for 2026. However, as you may have noticed, that also didn’t materialise in the Nintendo Direct.
The game’s absence also led to questions around its whereabouts, and the insider doubled down on his past claims.
‘There’s still time for Pikmin 4 [Nintendo Switch 2 Edition] this year,’ he wrote. When asked about the release date, he added: ‘I said the timeline was not set but I had confidence it would make this year back in March.’
NateTheHate accurately leaked the Star Fox revival and the remake of The Legend Of Zelda: Ocarina Of Time, and is generally regarded as one of the most relaible insiders. As such, it’s possible both these announcements could be tied to a future Nintendo Direct later this year… or that Nintendo has subsequently changed their plans.
These aren’t the only rumours to emerge following the Direct. A new Ace Attorney game was rumoured prior to the presentation, but after it didn’t show up, leaker MajorPlayeix has reaffirmed that it’s ‘deep in development’ at Capcom and that they believe it will be ‘announced this year’.
Additionally, another leaker with a more questionable track record, noarmsandnolegs on X, has claimed Crash Bandicoot is set to make a comeback in some form, following the reveal of Spyro: A Realm Beyond.
It’s unclear who is making it or whether it will be a platformer like the prior mainline titles, but there have been rumours in the past around a new Crash Team Racing title.
The big question is whether we’ll see another major Nintendo Direct later this year, with release dates still yet to be revealed for this year’s biggest Switch 2 titles, The Duskbloods and Zelda: Ocarina Of Time.
