Alexa PenaVega and her husband, Carlos, have revealed that they lost their daughter in a devastating stillbirth.

The Spy Kids actress, 35, revealed that she was due to welcome her fourth child with the Big Time Rush star, 34, in November.

They shared a heartbreaking update in a joint Instagram post on Monday, opening up about their loss.

‘There are never the right words to say when it comes to loss. After a beautiful and peaceful delivery our daughter “Indy” was born at rest. It has been a painful journey. But in pain we have found peace,’ they began.

‘God continues to comfort and hold us in his arms. The prayers from the community around us have been so sustaining in this difficult season. This little girl has already changed our lives in so many ways.

‘She was absolutely beautiful. And looked just like daddy. Dark hair and all.

‘Grief has come to us in waves. Moments of feeling absolutely gutted… Then moments of feeling blessed by just getting a moment with her.’

‘We can’t understand why things like this happen and we may never get those answers,’ the post continued.

‘Indy Rex PenaVega, you completely changed our world. You moved us to a new place. You gave us the community we have been longing for. We love you can’t wait to see how many other lives you change.’

She had been sharing glimpses of her pregnancy journey on social media ever since, including numerous vlogs and video posts from hospital.

The Ruby and the Rockits star first came to fame at the age of eight, thanks to her role in action flick Twister, alongside Helen Hunt and Bill Paxton.

She became a household name after starring as Carmen Cortez in the Spy Kids franchise, with the first film hitting the big screen in 2001.

In 2012, she started dating Carlos after meeting him at a Bible study, and they soon became inseparable.
