A 17-year-old boy was killed in a shooting that also critically wounded two men Tuesday morning in the Back of the Yards neighborhood on the South Side.
The boy was outside and two men were in a vehicle in the 5000 block of South Throop Street around 7:40 a.m. when a dark SUV stopped nearby and someone exited and opened fire, Chicago police said.
The teen was shot in the body and taken to Comer Children’s Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, police said.
The two men, 61 and 55, relocated to the 5000 block of South Ashland Avenue and were taken to Stroger Hospital, where they were both in critical condition, officials said.
