Bears-Seahawks inactives: CB Malik Muhammad ruled out

SEATTLE — Bears cornerback Malik Muhammad, who has started four games this season, won’t play Monday night after he hurt his toe against the Patriots. He was ruled inactive an hour-and-a-half before kickoff.

Starting linebacker D’Marco Jackson, who was questionable with an ankle problem, will play.

The Bears also made rookie Jordan van den Berg a healthy scratch after the addition of star defensive tackle Jeffery Simmons. Fellow defensive lineman Jayden Loving is out, too.

Offensive lineman Jordan McFadden is out. Running back Kyle Monangai was ruled out Saturday. Case Keenum will be the emergency quarterback.

Earlier Monday, the Bears promoted Stephen Carlson from the practice squad. He’ll serve as the team’s third tight end with Cole Kmet out for the season, though the team could use Ozzy Trapilo as a blocking tight end in certain situations.

The Seahawks activated running back Jadarian Price, the first-round rookie from Notre Dame, from injured reserve hours before kickoff.
