The Bears will wear their “Rivalries” alternate uniform set one time this season: on Christmas Day against the Packers at Soldier Field.
The team announced the decision Thursday when they listed the theme games for each contest this season.
The NFC North is one of two divisions, along with the AFC South, that will wear Nike’s “Rivalry” uniform this season. The teams are expected to unveil what they look like in August. The AFC East and NFC West wore them last year.
The uniform designs are meant to “ celebrate the traditions, communities and competitive spirit” of each team. Last month the Bears switched their social media icons to an orange and white colorway, leading some to speculate about the direction of the alternate uniforms.
The Bears have rarely ventured too far afield from their traditional uniform set over the years, to the point that wearing navy pants with navy jerseys in two playoff games last year was considered notable.
Williams isn’t about to state his choice for where the Bears should play their home games going forward.

Williams dismissed Parsons’ threat — “I’ve got something for the Iceman, for sure,” he said — as funny.
