Police are searching for a missing 16-year-old girl last seen walking away from her Boulder home Thursday afternoon.
Opal, 16, was last seen walking away from her home near 30th Street and Valmont Road in Boulder around noon Thursday, police said Friday.
The teenager was wearing white chunky tennis shoes and a large straw hat, and carrying a small black purse, according to the Boulder Police Department.
Opal is a 5-foot, 6-inch, 87 pound girl with hazel eyes and long, curly brown hair that she often wears up in a bun, police said.
Police ask anyone who has seen Opal or who knows where she is to call the Boulder Police Department at 303-441-3333.

This 16-year-old girl walked away from her home in the area of 30th and Valmont around 12 p.m. yesterday and has not returned. Opal is known to use the RTD bus.
