A 17-year-old boy was critically wounded during a shooting that took place in an apartment early Wednesday in Austin on the West Side.
Officers responded to a call of shots fired in a building about 12:35 a.m in the 5400 block of West West End Avenue, Chicago police said.
The teen was found on a bed with gunshot wounds to his chest and back and was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital where he was in critical condition, police said.
Area 4 detectives were investigating.
