Charges were pending for one of four people who burst into a business and stole an SUV, leading to a multi-vehicle crash that injured four people late Tuesday in Rogers Park.
Around 11:20 p.m., four individuals entered a business from the back in the 6800 block of North Clark Street and drove off with a red SUV, Chicago police said.
Before smashing into the garage door, they plowed into a gray SUV, an occupied black SUV and two parked vehicles, police said.
Officers who responded to an alarm at the business sped to the scene and took one of the four into custody at the scene. Three others ran away.
Four people in the black SUV were taken to hospitals in good condition, including one woman taken to Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center and two other women and a man who were taken to Saint Francis Hospital in Evanston, police said.
