Chili’s, Norms and Red Robin offer new menu items

People are dining out less frequently these days, according to a report by Nation’s Restaurant News.

Some sit-down restaurants are trying to make more worthwhile with new items to stir your interest and perhaps save you a couple of bucks.

Chili’s Grill & Bar

The Texas-based chain has a new lineup of Big Crispy chicken sandwiches.

The Big Crispy is made with a hand-battered chicken breast, pickles and mayonnaise on a toasted bun. Flavors include spicy, honey chipotle, Nashville, Buffalo and Deluxe, which includes bacon, Swiss cheese, lettuce and tomato.

Two of the sandwiches are on the 3 for Me value menu, which includes a starter, a main and a beverage at prices starting at $10.99.

Norms

New “Fuel Up” meals are intended to give motorists the chance to carboload for less money and feel a little relief from pain at the pump, according to a news release.

Meals start at $9.99 for all-you-can-eat soup, salad and garlic toast.

Other items include a quarter-pound chicken burger with fries, $11.99; chicken Parmigiana with soup or salad, $13.99; and a new Chile Verde Chicken Burrito, $15.99

Some of the meals include beverages as well.

The promotion is available Monday through Friday for a limited time.

Norms’ soccer promotion with the Los Angeles Galaxy is still going on as well. Rewards members can get a free stack of Buttermilk Hotcakes every time the team scores one or more goals during a home game.

Red Robin

Towering Double Cheeseburger Sliders made their debut on Monday, April 20, just in time for the cannabis holiday 4/20.

Each tower includes four double beef patties and double cheese on King’s Hawaiian Rolls, plus pickle chips on the side, according to a news release. There’s also a version with double bacon.

On April 20 only, for $20 customers can order a Sky-High Towering Trio with cheeseburger sliders, a Towering Onion Ring Shorty and a Cinnamon Sugar Doh! Ring Shorty for dessert, the news release said.

Red Robin’s Big Yummm Deals are still on the menu. They start at $9.99 at participating locations.
