Investigators located two teens who were being sought after one allegedly swerved his dirt bike into a sheriff’s deputy, causing him to crash his motorcycle in Valencia, authorities said Friday.
The crash occurred about 6:30 p.m. Thursday in the area of Avenida Rancho Tesoro and Duke Drive, according to officials at the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department‘s Santa Clarita Station.
One suspect, “intentionally veered into a deputy, causing the deputy to crash,” according to the LASD, which reported the suspect was with another dirt bike rider who witnessed the incident.
The suspects, described as male youths, were arrested within two hours, according to the sheriff’s department. Their names were withheld.
The deputy was taken to a hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries, according to the Santa Clarita Signal.
