A driver veered off Lake Shore Drive and into Lake Michigan early Saturday, injuring the vehicle’s three occupants, according to Chicago police.
They all escaped the vehicle and swam to land after it crashed around 12:50 a.m. Saturday in the 800 block of North Lake Shore Drive, police said in a statement.
All three were taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital in fair condition, police said. A man, 26, had a dislocated shoulder, and two 19-year-old men had minor injuries, according to police, who shared no other details.
