A 94-year-old woman who died in July is the 11th person in Cook County whose death has been tied to extreme heat, according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office.
Claramont Little, of Chicago’s Greater Grand Crossing community, died in the early morning hours of July 2 in the same block where she lived, according to the medical examiner’s office. The medical examiner recently determined her death was caused by a heat stroke and it was ruled an accident.

The others whose deaths have, at least in part, been attributed to the heat this year are Otto G.
