Habit Burger & Grill has a dude ranch for dudes who love ranch

The Habit Burger & Grill is offering its loyalty members an unusual perk: a stay in a Wild West environment.

“Habit Ranch” is a vacation rental in Pioneertown, an unincorporated community near Joshua Tree, according to a news release.

The Habit, an Irvine-based quick service chain, is using the property to publicize its house-made ranch dressing.

“Out here ranch ain’t just a dressing. It’s a way of life,” actor Ian Bohen says in an Instagram video shot at Pioneertown for a pop-up earlier this month. Bohen played a ranch hand named Ryan in all five seasons of “Yellowstone,” the wildly popular Paramount Network series.

A two-night stay at the five-bedroom rental is being offered as the grand prize in a sweepstakes open to MyHabit loyalty members. They can enter the sweepstakes through May 18.

Perks include custom bedding, a $500 gift card, custom branded merchandise and ranch dressing in a mini-fridge.

The Habit lists three ranch condiments on its website: classic, spicy and avocado.

Pioneertown is a 1940s development built to resemble a Wild West town. It was used as a location for TV shows in the 1950s, which were very different from the west presented in “Yellowstone,”  created by Taylor Sheridan.

Joshua Tree is roughly an hour’s drive from Indio, home of the Stagecoach Country Music Festival. “Yellowstone” and its many spinoffs have had their own tent at the festival since 2023.

The Habit’s parent company is Yum! Brands, which also owns Taco Bell.

Taco Bell had a similar promotion in 2019, taking over a boutique Palm Springs hotel for a four-night immersive pop-up.
