WOODLAND HILLS — A week of upsets in football and action across the world of football, flag football and cross country made for eventful Friday Night fireworks and top-tier runs.

ATHLETES OF THE WEEK
Football
Matix Frithsmith, Hart
Frithsmith rushed for for 218 yards and four touchdowns, had three receptions for 36 yards and completed a 15-yard pass to lead Hart to a victory over Saugus 34-17.
Julian Gallo, Royal
Gallo made 10 tackles, including three tackles for loss, and helped hold Glendale to under 100 yards rushing as Royal won its fifth consecutive game, 49-12.
Moyosoreoluwa Odebunmi, Cleveland
Odebunmi helped Cleveland earn its most impressive win so far this season, as it beat Crenshaw 24-18. Odebunmi rushed for 205 yards, two touchdowns and forced a fumble.
Max Bates, North Hollywood
Bates made six tackles, intercepted a pass and rushed for a touchdown as North Hollywood overpowered Verdugo Hills 43-7.
FLAG FOOTBALL
Ava Irwin, Sierra Canyon
Irwin caught two touchdown passes, of 26 and 16 yards, to lead Sierra Canyon to a dominant victory over Chaminade, 33-0.
Daisy Ruiz, Kennedy
Ruiz had two sacks and three flag pulls in a win over Van Nuys, 19-0, as Kennedy improved to 12-1-1 overall and 3-0 in the Valley Mission League.
VOLLEYBALL
AnaJolene Bell, Cleveland
Bell slammed 23 kills for Cleveland last Wednesday for Cleveland which sits atop first place in the West Valley League.
Casandra Lim, Crescenta Valley
Lim led Crescenta Valley with 12 kills and 15 digs to beat Saugus in five sets last Monday.
CROSS COUNTRY
Oliver Frutos, Quartz Hill
The sophomore ran the fourth-fastest time in the Bellarmine-Sacred Heart Invitational. He clocked a time of 16:04.
Elisha Hill, Burroughs
Hill posted the third-fastest time in the Raider Invitational at Oxnard College. She had a personal best of 19:13.3.
