A man was fatally shot by a group of people in Woodlawn Wednesday night, according to Chicago police.
The man, 34, was standing outside in the 6700 block of South Cottage Grove Avenue at 7:20 p.m. when people exited two SUVs, one gray and one white, and began firing in his direction, police said. He was taken to University of Chicago Medical Center, where he died.
No one is in custody.
