A man was killed and three women were injured in a shooting in the Little Village neighborhood Wednesday afternoon, police said.
It occurred around 4:30 p.m. as a man and three women stood near the sidewalk in the 3400 block of West 26th Street. An unknown shooter opened fire, hitting all four of them, police said.
The man, 46, was shot several times and transported to Mount Sinai Hospital where he was pronounced dead. His name has not been released.
Of the three women:
- One, age unknown, was shot in her lower back and made her way to Mount Sinai Hospital, where she was listed in critical condition.
- The second, age 25, was shot in her face and was transported to Mount Sinai, where she was listed in fair condition.
- The third, age 47, was shot in her arm and transported to Mount Sinai, where she was listed in fair condition.
Area 4 detectives are investigating.
