A man was killed and another man wounded in a shooting late Saturday, Chicago police said.
The two men were standing outside in the 1600 block of North Washtenaw Avenue. Just after 11 p.m., an unknown man approached them and opened fire in their direction, police said.
A 43-year-old man was shot in the chest and taken to Stroger Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead, police said.
A 33-year-old man was shot in the left leg and taken to Stroger Hospital in good condition.
The gunman fled on foot. Area Five detectives are investigating.
