A man was shot Thursday afternoon in the Near West Side neighborhood, according to Chicago police.
The man, 41, was getting out of a vehicle in the 500 block of South Claremont Avenue at 2:40 p.m when a white sedan approached and someone inside fired several shots, police said. He was taken to Stroger Hospital in critical condition.
No one is in custody.
