Oakland man charged with molesting 13-year-old he met on TikTok

OAKLAND — An Oakland resident has been charged with six felony counts of sexual abuse involving a 13-year-old girl he allegedly met on social media and brought to his home through a rideshare application, court records show.

Nicholas Vollintine, 25, was charged with aggravated sexual abuse of a child, lewd act upon a child and other sexual assault charges, all involving the same alleged incident. He is being held at Santa Rita Jail in lieu of $1.8 million bail, with a judge set to hear his request to lower bail or release him on April 26.

Oakland police say Vollintine met a 13-year-old girl through the video social media app TikTok, and invited her to his Oakland home on 26th Street to watch Netflix. He allegedly called an Uber driver to pick up the girl, who lives in another part of the Bay Area.

The girl later told authorities that she explicitly said no when Vollintine made a sexual advance, but was scared because it was nighttime, she didn’t know where she was and she feared what would happen if she attempted to fight him off. After allegedly committing six acts of sexual abuse within a 90-minute period, Vollintine called an Uber driver to take the girl home, according to investigators.

The girl later confided in a trusted adult, who informed her family and called police, authorities said. Vollintine was arrested at his home two days after the alleged Feb. 26 sexual abuse, and was charged in March. He has not yet entered a plea, according to court records.
