A man stole a United States Postal Service truck Saturday evening in the Loop. Chicago police said.
A USPS worker exited the mail truck to make a delivery around 7:50 p.m. in the 1100 block of South State Street when the man got in the truck and drove away. The worker called police, and officers spotted the truck and tried to pull it over. But the truck didn’t stop and sideswiped a car trying to flee, according to police.
Officers later spotted the truck again in traffic and stopped it. The man got out and was arrested. Police said no one was injured.
