Red Rocks show canceled Monday night because of high wind

Monday night’s Red Rocks show was canceled because of high winds, according to a 9 a.m. Monday post on X by the amphitheater.

The 8 p.m. performance would have featured alternative indie band Hippo Campus with MJ Lenderman and the Wind and Hannah Jadagu.

Due to dangerous high winds at Red Rocks today and throughout the night, local authorities have made the decision to cancel tonight’s show,” Hippo Campus posted on X on Monday morning.

Wind gusts may reach 60 miles per hour at Red Rocks today with a 20% chance of snow showers in the afternoon. Gusts are expected to increase up to 65 miles per hour in the evening and high winds, with gusts up to 41 miles per hour, will last through Tuesday, according to the National Weather Service.
