No one was injured after a semitruck hit a tree, rolled over and caught fire on Interstate 90 Thursday night, according to the Chicago fire and police departments.
Around 8:47 p.m., firefighters responded to the scene of a semitruck that rolled after it hit a tree along an I-90 exit ramp near State Street. Fuel from the vehicle then caught fire in the roadway, fire officials said. No injuries were reported.
Firefighters at the scene requested sand to absorb flammable liquids that leaked from the vehicle, fire officials said. The accident is under investigation.
