Police are looking for four thieves who plowed into a gas station in Bronzeville early Friday, heaved an ATM into an SUV and fled.
Four people were in a white Jeep that drove into the front door of the gas station in the 3100 block of South Michigan Avenue around 4:10 a.m. The thieves removed the ATM from the building, loaded it into the back of a gray SUV and fled in that vehicle.
No other information was available from police, who did not know how the gray SUV arrived on the scene if all four people were in the Jeep. Police also had no information on whether the Jeep was left behind or driven off by one of the four people being sought.
Area 1 detectives were investigating.
