U.S. Representative Thomas Massie (R-KY) is running for re-election against Trump-endorsed candidate Ed Gallrein in the GOP primary. Facing a series of attack ads funded by three billionaire Trump supporters (Miriam Adelson, Paul Singer and John Paulson), Massie launched a fundraising goal of $1.1 million on Monday, May 4, calling the initiative the “Massie Moneybomb.”
Massie complained on Monday about the AI-generated video below titled ‘Thomas Massie caught in a throuple’, which shows a realistic-looking AI version of Massie holding hands with Democratic House members Reps. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) and Ilhan Omar (D-MN).
Massie wrote: “Woke Eddie’s billionaire puppet masters are running this disgusting and defamatory ad now. It reeks of desperation, but they’re hoping the older generation won’t realize it’s an AI generated lie. Please help me fight back by donating to http://massiemoneybomb.com today.”

On The Tucker Carlson Show on Wednesday, Massie said of the billionaires: “Their position is more war, it’s more strife, it’s more bombs, it’s more foreign aid, and those are the things that I’ve been voting against. So the real reason that this race is a serious race, and I may lose, is because a foreign lobby has fully funded to the extent that they’ve never done in any Republican race ever before.”

Overall, in less than five days (as of Friday, May 8, at 2 pm ET), Massie is just $47,000 away from reaching his $1.1 million goal. He plans to spend the million on “the final tv ads & mail pieces for the last week of the campaign.”
