Unilever issued an urgent recall (Credits: PA)
Unilever has recalled a batch of Magnum ice creams after concern they may contain pieces of plastic and metal.
The company issued an urgent recall on Magnum Almond Ice Cream Sticks (3 x 100 ml) because of ‘possible presence of plastic and metal.’
It makes the ice creams ‘unsafe to eat,’ the Food Standards Agency warned.
Ice cream boxes sold in the UK and Ireland with the batch codes L3338, L3339, L3340, L3341, L3342 and the Best Before date of 12/2025 are affected.

The FSA told customers who bought the product to ‘not eat it.’
Customers with concerns or queries can contact Unilever’s customer service on 0800146252 or email ukicare@unilever.com.
Notices will be displayed in all retail stores that are selling the ice creams, explaining to customers why the product is being recalled and what they should do, the food safety watchdog said.
